I have a similar system, and once you have a cyclone no need to replace anything but the blower. What company made your new blower? BTW, with this type system you can put a plastic bag in your drum which makes it easy to handle your dust. Contractor bags fit my 55 gallon drum.
It is a carbatec dusty. The cyclone has a plastic bag that I get a few uses out of before replacing it.
I put in a 6" system about 10 years ago, used metal spiral pipe. Had a 2hp Woodsucker cyclone, and found it fine except when using sanders. Sanding dust is much harder to collect than bigger chips. Went to a 3hp cyclone, which was an improvement, but what worked best was installing an outside air dump, which was building a 8" dryer vent type air dump, with a blast gate so if I have a really cold or hot day, can use the filter. My cyclone drops the dust into a 55 gallon drum. When planing boards I can fill the drum in about 15 minutes.
Hi Dave Great to see you back doing what you do best WOODWORK Cheers, Phil from Jersey (that's the original Jersey just 9miles from France)

That footboard design made me catch my breath. Brilliant design. This is what a Santa sleigh should look like.
@@whoDatBeDare thank you. I am designing and making mistakes as I go.
Of course I meant guard, not fence.
Absolutely. Fantastic . O have a pair of the UJK wire type and they are hopeless...these are the mutts nutts ..i bought the 3d print versions due to where i live . Local library printed them off in bright yellow ... . Cant recommend highly enough.
Your recommendation means a lot! It's awesome that your local library was able to help out with the printing.
Hi Dave, good demonstration on low profile bench stop, I also enjoyed watch the video last Sunday as you put them in to use, a good tool to have on the workbench. Is my workshop messy well yes and no, depends on what in doing or making, if it is a mess it an organised mess. Good to see you Take care
Glad you enjoyed it Shaun. I don't like mess because my memory is not what it used to be and if I don't put things away I forget where they are and have to buy a replacement!
We have to talk about that pony tail. I’m begging you Dave ✂️
It is winter here and the hair is a welcome cover for my ears. No haircut in the near future...maybe when I hit 70?

How long does the solar panels take to charge the b300?
If you look at an average output of 250 watts it would be 12 hours.

Any chance you have the CNC plans for that headboard? Moe than happy to pay
Sorry for the late reply. Busy with a heap of things at present but will consider your request.
Would love to see plans for this bed. I’ve made two of the benches. I the first one to tell you the bench plans were in Fine Woodworking.
Welcome back!
It's great to be back! Thanks for the support!
My problem with having zero clearance on the fence is that when I have done it, the dust collection doesn't work because it's blocked by the zero clearance pieces. Actually, I've been disappointed with the dust collection on the Kapex all together.
Hey, thanks for sharing your thoughts on the Kapex dust collection. It can be frustrating when things don't work as expected, but your input is valuable for others in the community. But, you can't have a zero clearance fence and good dust control without an all encompassing hood.
@@DavidStanton Unfortunately I don’t have room for one of those. The most I have been able to do is extend the existing scoop by adding duct tape to it.
We never knows everything we always learn something new at least it is for me.
Learning is a lifelong journey! Embrace it.
Hi Dave, good to see you back on camera your live streams have been missed.
Thank you so much for the kind words! I'm glad to be back and I appreciate your support.
Hi Dave, hope your well, sorry could not make it last night I was at a pop concert, 1980's band called Madness, they were a big UK band I don't know if the had hits in Australia, it brought me back to my teenage years, they were in a near by town to me in Llangollen about 12 miles away. I'm watch you at 10.30 on Sunday morning. Also healing my wounds yesterday Australia beat Wales in the rugby, I was a good game and the best team won Australia 36, Wales 28. It's not that warm in Wales lately it's only been about 14c to 17c and rain .I'm like you with the wood planer I always put it side down, can't wait to see the rest of this bed project. Great video as always , Take care
Australia's rugby team has been rubbish for ages but maybe turned a corner? I'm also keen to see how this bed looks...next show, next month maybe?
GREAT to see you back on the tools again and doing another show. Im almost at the point of making a router table at the end of my table saw (when i finish the restoration) if i search the archive channel for a video of you making yours will i find one ? Don't know how to do the dust collection under the router.

You got a nice idea there 🙂
Thanks! I'm glad you think so, I was starting to doubt my own ideas!
Cold and wet in Melbourne and having a lazy afternoon indoors enjoying watching your project… I built a bed frame/bed heads a while back and ended up trying the df700 Festool connectors for the leg to rail connection. Like you, I didn’t want to see cheap metal plates. I was a little dubious at first that they might pull out or work loose, but 2 years on the connections are still solid. Only issue was the expense of buying the kit for only 6 connections…time to make more beds. 😂 Cheers.
That's awesome to hear that the connections are still holding up after 2 years!
used this method and quite frankly amazed at how easy it made fitting Tyre ------ last time i had to do this took, the skin off just about every finger and struggled for over an hour to complete task. Using this technique to less than 10 minutes to do both tyres ----what a revelation bloody brilliant. well done keep the ideas coming. big thanks.
So glad it worked for you! Thanks for the support and stay tuned for more helpful tips.
From what I have read and seen, it is the usual practice not to pull one tooth over but to turn the wrest a little toward the heel of the saw while engaging two teeth. In this way a certain amount of consistency can be had in the setting of the teeth. It is not so much by eye as it is feel. Accuracy is a development, not a given.
Would this work with 3hp sawstop professional table saw?
I think you would need a stronger unit.
@@DavidStanton that's so much for the reply do you thank the Delta pro 3 would be ok?

Hi Dave, good to see you, Another power bank that's great, lower mains wattage but very handy like you said for charging your phone and appliances good for 750 watts hand for lighting it's good for a day's use like your Vikie's vodka stand. Good to have solar and car charging as well as main's charging , Australia is the same as Wales 230 volt at 50 Hz Great video, catch you soon, Take care
Charging up like a pro with this power bank, now all you need is a solar-powered blender for those Vikis vodka smoothies!
Brand new, released in Australia today! I've had it for 6 weeks and love it!

Just watched your video, love the no BS approach on how to do things, simple and straight to the point. On that pump where the primer bolt is get rid of it and replace it with a stainless steel plug, ask me how I know😃 I can send you a pic of what's left of the steel bolt they used from my pump.
I'm glad you enjoyed the video and found it helpful! Your suggestion to replace the primer bolt with a stainless steel plug is valuable.
I got a little lost on the glue up part.
Thank you for reaching out! I'll try to make that part clearer in future videos.
What a nice surprise Dave. I made similar light boxes, they do make for a clean look. See you next time you decide to drop in.

Good morning Dave, just to say you are not forgotten in the UK but time is behind you. And, I dig the hat. I hope you feel 100% soon.
Time might be behind me and you also, but I'm always ahead of the hat game! Thanks for the good vibes.
Perhaps a short explanation as to what the unit actually is and what it does would be helpful.
Got it! I explained what the unit does in the previous vid.
I have found... WHERE... something is made is usually but not always in a few cases a Big Key to work-ability and longevity. These days it seems I spend more time fixin' things than I do actually working on projects. I simply hate it... Trying to get quality products here in the Philippines as an ex-pat is pretty much always like a scavenger hunt. There is no guarantee that buying on Amazon as an example will solve the problem either, as I spent Big Ol' Bucks to have DeWalt's Best Planer shipped here only to find later there is a recall on one of the blade guards. DeWalt refuses to ship said replacement guard here... even though their supplier sold it to me and SHIPPED it Here !! I'll NEVER Buy another DeWalt Product until they make it right.... which I doubt will ever happened. Bottom line is... it seems Good Customer Service is getting much harder regardless of who makes a product. I have a PowerHouse 300 Mig Welder that blew after just a hundred hours or 6 months of use and I can't even find where to send it for repair. Bad links, phone numbers, etc...etc... Thus I have learned how to be a Repair Tech on most everything I buy these days. Not Happy about it... but at least with the help of YT videos I can usually find a solution given enough time and the creek don't rise. Thumbs Up on Your Video and Thanks for the Heads Up !! A Long Time Subscriber...
I appreciate your support and feedback. It's great to hear that my video helped provide some valuable insights. Thank you for being a long-time subscriber!
It's starting to become quite the crowded market so poor app quality and user interface customisations can make the difference, good to see an honest review.
Absolutely, standing out in a crowded market is crucial for any app to succeed.
Your personality and joy is infectious and always makes me want to rush out to my workshop and just do anything! Thanks!!

Glad it was helpful!
Hi David, Good to see you hope you and your family are well, looks like you having fun and games with your power bank and not getting positive feed back from Allpowers and you the customer should have this working the way you want to, if you want to have the display screen on that should be your choice. Missing your videos, catch you soon, Take care
Hi Shaun. I hope they get it right soon as the product isn't too bad, maybe rushed to market a bit too quickly?
The supposed upside connection is correct and it is for safety. What if you drop a metal ruler and the plug was the way you wanted.. Thanks for all the informative videos.
Good point but maybe it would be better to stick with the way that the rest of Australia is accustomed to? What if I am fumbling around in the dark and trying to plug into it and thinking that touching the earth pin was ok but...oh no, it was the active!
Sadly the adapter ordering option is no longer available
Correct. Bob who invented it has died. He was a very generous man and clever.
Your tip for the router depth stop to figure out the bottom of the t-track is genius! I'm always fighting with the plunger spring trying to get the correct depth. This seems so much easier. Can't wait to try it!
Who knew a router depth stop could bring so much joy? It's the little things in woodworking, right?
